Polosko Custom Woodworks is an intentionally small company of two partners who are both
involved in every step of the process to realize your vision. We emphasize a high level of customer
service and you will always be speaking to an owner when working with us on the details of your
project. Should your project warrant additional resources for construction or installation, we hand
pick individuals with a high level of skill and expertise and will always be on-site to ensure the highest
quality work and professionalism.
If you are currently working with architects, designers or other builders, we are more than happy to
coordinate with them to ensure a cohesive design and seamless installation.
From concept to reality our process includes an initial consultation, design, construction, and
installation. Please feel free to visit our shop at any time during this process.
Our initial meeting, whether at our shop or in your home, will provide us with an opportunity to get to know you, the ideas you have and what you are looking for in
cabinets, furniture or other piece of woodworking. We will discuss feasibility, space planning, building codes, materials, finishes, and hardware, but the most important
part of the initial consultation is to understand your vision. While we are happy to help you design your project, we also encourage you to create a list of details and ideas
and show us photos of what inspires you.
Based upon the initial consultation, we will create a detailed drawing of your project and provide you with a budget estimate. Sometimes this step is completed in one
attempt, but it is more likely that this will take several consultations to reach a final design that meets your needs. As the design progresses we keep you informed of the
anticipated construction cost and make suggestions to improve the overall functionality, cost, and aesthetic harmony of your project.
Once the design is approved, we begin the construction on your project where we combine state of the art equipment and old-world craftsmanship in our shop in Richmond.
We will continue to work with you during this phase to ensure that we get your input along the way.
Once your entire project, or the first phase of your project, is completed, you will be contacted to arrange a mutually agreeable time for installation. Depending on the
size and complexity of the job, installation can take anywhere from a couple of hours to several days. We will treat your home as it were ours and make every effort to
minimize the disruption associated with the installation of your project.
